With specific trainging and education in the field of early childhood, our teachers understand the unique needs and learning styles of preschool aged children. A commitment to continuous professional development means that are teachers are not only experienced, but also on the forefront of early childhood education.
Lynn Merkel has been teaching our Two-Year-Old class for 18 years! She has a B.S. in education, with a concentration in Early Childhood. Mrs. Merkel has experience with cooperative nursery schools and a wide variety of children’s groups, both as a parent and a teacher. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching their wonder as they discover their world. She and her husband Paul, a minister, live in Hamburg with their dog Jake. They have three grown children and 3 grandchildren whom she tries to visit often.
Lisa Link attended Syracuse University for Inclusive Early Childhood Education. She is NYS certified to teach children Birth-2nd grade and has taught at Little Lamb for 6 years. Her favorite thing about teaching little learners is the joy they have for life and learning. She and her husband Bryce have three children, all of whom attended Little Lamb. She and her family are members of Hamburg United Methodist Church where she serves as Chair of Christian Education.
Laura Herman studied Physical Therapy at the University of Buffalo and prior to working at LLP she did home therapy for Early Intervention. This will be Mrs. Herman’s sixth year teaching in the Multi Age Class after previously serving on the LLP Board for 8 years. Mrs. Herman's favorite thing about teaching little learners is the amusing things they say! She and her husband Eric have three children, all of whom attended LLP. She is not only a teacher at Little Lamb, but also a proud Little Lamb graduate!
