February 2018

Hear we are entering the new month of February, which will be our month for pink.  We will be making marble pictures, paint with red and white, make Valentine cards for our loved ones, and also beautiful pink hearts. We will learn our new Valentine finger play:

 

    “It’s nice to have a friend like you-

       I’ll tell you what I’m going to do-

       Because you make me feel so fine-

       I’ll take you as my Valentine!”

 

We will continue to play with the construction vehicles in the “snow,” (which is actually potato flakes!), although the poly snowballs downstairs will be put away. We may have some relays with the bean bags and maybe even go outside!

 

Our Valentine party will be Thursday, February 15. We may decorate our own treats and will design our own Valentine bags for cards from our friends. Please bring enough cards for each child in the class, 8 including your own child. We ask that you only state your child’s name for “from,” without designating “to.” This will make card distribution much simpler. 

 

Below you will find the February and March coop calendars. We also have plenty of snacks in our cupboards, but can usually use juice. Please  also note that we will have no school on Feb 20, 21, ,22nd due to Winter Break.
